For those Nokia fans out there, good news to all of you! The handheld device you used to love or some still love is set to make a huge comeback. Yes, that's right -- a comeback! This means the iconic 90s' mobile phone is going back to standing on its own feet again without the usual support of Windows, which in the past has been coddling it.

The happy news has been announced by Nokia CEO Rajeev Suri during their company's 150th anniversary. The brand that is no longer the hottest in town can still be considered one of the best and one of the longest-running smartphone makers across the globe. And for a time there was only Nokia as the ruler of all mobile phones. Having it back on the market might break some of the famous brands today.

According to Suri, the longest mobile phone manufacturer has plans of releasing a new smartphone model before 2016 ends. The Nokia CEO said that they are currently looking for suitable partners. Nokia will design the phone and then make the brand name available to licence.

It is known that, in the past, most of Nokia was bought by a Finnish company, but Microsoft is still its part owner. Microsoft is said to still be focusing on the design and licensing part of the smartphones that Nokia plans to create. But unlike before, now third parties will also be partnering with the company to help make Nokia's 2016 mobile phone design stand out and at least make a break to trump its modern competitors like Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy.

The pressure is on for both Nokia, which has taken a long slumber from the phone industry and has awaiting fans eager for its comeback, and for Microsoft, which is so far not so successful in producing a smartphone that has the impact that Nokia has enjoyed in the past.

So far, we won't know whether they will finally gain their momentum back or not. All the public has to do is be patient and wait for their upcoming smartphone. Meanwhile, Nokia, Microsoft and their other partners better step up their games if they would like to make it big time in the current modern smartphone industry and avoid disappointing what is left of their fandom.
