Microsoft has just unveiled another Nokia phone and its target audience are those who like to take a "selfie." The most recent Nokia-branded handset comes with a sleek design that is the first to have a decent selfie camera.
Microsoft has obviously redesigned their mobile handset as the new Nokia 230 comes in an all-new format that is completely different from the usual loud green, red and blue color it previously had. Now the latest handset only comes in two colors: black and white. It's basically back to the basics for the tech company's phone as it has a consistent grey, sandblasted aluminium back cover common to both colors.
The handset's aluminium cover has been wedged between two bars at the top and the bottom of the phone to match its main color. Because of this, the Nokia 230 has a slicker finish than its previous versions and a much more appealing look than the earlier models like Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. It has a body dimension of 124.6 x 53.4 x 10.9 mm or 4.91 x 2.10 x 0.43 in. The mobile phone weighs about 91.8 g or 3.25 oz. It has a 2.8 inch display with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 143 ppi pixel density.
The latest Nokia branded Windows phone has an internal storage of 16MB which can be expandable via a microSD slot that can handle up to 32 GB. The key feature of this handset is the two 2MP cameras that it sports, one on the front and one on the back. Both cameras are supported by a LED flash, which is why it is being marketed as a selfie-ideal device.
Users can also play their videos and listen to the radio or mp3 player. Plus, the Opera Store has plenty of games to choose from. The internet phone can also support services from the likes of Facebook, Twitter, MSN Weather, Bing Search, and Opera's data-saving Mini Browser.
Nokia 230 will be available by December in Asia and the Middle East and will be priced at $55 USD. Microsoft plans to launch the said phone model in other markets worldwide by next year. The model also has a dual SIM version called Nokia 230 Dual SIM for those who have more than one mobile provider.
