May the force be with you. Star Wars fans rejoice! In lieu of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, tech company Google is giving fans more ways to celebrate. Google has launched a new tool that lets all their users choose between joining the light side or the dark side of the force. The user's Google apps will then be customized depending on their choice.

After selecting, Google will start updating their apps to reflect their choice. It might take a bit of a time though and some of the changes are only seen or available for those apps used on desktop devices. Once the choice is made and the accounts are updated, users will see all their Google apps infiltrated with the likes of Storm troopers, TIE fighters, X-Wings and lightsabers.

The user's Gmail accounts gets new Star Wars based backgrounds, YouTube's progress bar and also the volume slider and even the loading and seeking bars within Google will be changed to look like a red or blue saber. Even in Google Maps Pegman, users will find it changing to a First Order Storm trooper or Resistance Pilot and then becomes either a TIE fighter or an X-Wing to guide them to their destinations.

For those running Google Chrome, they might notice that their new tabs will be filled with scenes coming from the movie itself. The same images like this will also be seen at Chromecast while the Google calendar gets updated with key movie milestones.

Meanwhile, Google Now will also give the users trivia via their "this day in Star Wars history" cards. And if that isn't enough for the fans, Android Wear watches will also be gaining a free Star Wars watchface. Users of Google's Waze will also find themselves delighted to have C-3PO as their voice guiding companion with BB-8 and R2-D2 strewn across their paths.

Google also promises that there will still be more upcoming Star Wars experiences for the fans that can't get enough. These experiences and additions will be added gradually and pop up between now and Dec. 17 including a virtual reality experience for the company's budget VR platform Cardboard. Stay tuned for a new Chrome experiment coming soon.

With the customization of these Google tools, the company has assured the public that the functionality of their apps will remain the same and will not be, in any way, affected. The custom themes also won't appear on work accounts so users will not have to worry whether their boss can see it.

The changes and customization of the apps will last until Feb. 1 next year unless the user gets tired and change it earlier themselves. Head over to google.com/starwars for more details.
