The upcoming LG G4 will reportedly stand out from the crowd thanks to its design and improved camera, according to a new report out of Korea.

The company's current flagship smartphone, the LG G3, was widely considered one of the best Android smartphones of 2014 and it helped LG see an impressive increase in device sales. Its successor, the LG G4 expected to launch this year, should be even more impressive.

The rumor mill is already buzzing in anticipation, and ZDNet Korea reports (via GforGames) that the next-generation LG G4 will not only boast powerful specifications, but also an impressive design to help it stand out from the crowd.

The LG G3 already came with a beautiful design, and the company is reportedly aiming to take things up a notch when it comes to the appearance of its 2015 flagship smartphone. It remains unclear at this point just what exactly this will imply, but LG representatives reportedly told the media during the company's recent earnings call that the LG G4 will differentiate itself through design. This could involve higher-quality build materials, thinner bezels, better grip, or even a self-healing coating as found on the LG G Flex and G Flex 2.

The report further claims that the upcoming LG G4 will rock an improved camera, but doesn't reveal anything else in terms of specifications. If previous rumors and reports are anything to go by, however, the LG G4 will be one powerful powerhouse.

Based on leaks so far, the LG G4 could sport a 5.3 or 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Moreover, rumors also hinted at a stylus, which would allow the LG G4 to go head to head with Samsung's Galaxy Note phablets. As for the camera, the handset could either come with a 16-megapixel rear shooter with optical image stabilization (OIS) and LG's Laser Auto Focus, or boast a 20.7-megapixel sensor with enhanced OIS.

Recent whispers indicated that the LG G4 may not make its debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in March, but it should nonetheless arrive in the first half of this year.

We'll keep you up to date as soon as more information becomes available, but take everything with a grain of salt in the meantime.
