If you've been thinking about grabbing a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 this holiday season, Verizon is now offering the phablet for $199.99 with a new 2-year contract.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was among the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and it stirred quite some waves since its launch. The new flagship phablet from Samsung proved to be even more popular than previous generations and with the holidays just around the corner, the device will likely attract even more buyers.

Verizon Wireless now has a special offer in place for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, selling the S-enabled device for just $199.99 with a new 2-year contract, or $25.22 on Verizon Edge. Moreover, for this weekend only the carrier is also waiving all activation fees, allowing interested customers to open as many lines as they want completely free of charge. It's worth pointing out, however, that pre-paid devices are not part of this offer.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 build on the whopping success of its predecessor, but brings a number of notable improvements. For those unfamiliar with the super-sized smartphone, the Galaxy Note 3 boasts an even bigger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm clocked at 2.3GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 3GB of RAM.

The new Samsung flagship phablet comes in three storage configurations - 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB - expandable via microSD cards. Other specs of the Galaxy Note 3 include a top-end 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and 1080p video recording capabilities, a 2-megapixel front camera, and a large 3,200 mAh battery. The new-generation Galaxy Note also boasts enhancements to the popular S Pen and accompanying software.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is currently available in white, black, and pink (which is harder to find) color options, but a recent report claimed that red and White Gold versions may launch in January. Verizon Wireless, however, is selling only the black and white versions of the device, at least for now.

While this is not the most aggressive promotion Verizon has ever offered, it is an attractive deal for Samsung fans and will likely attract more buyers to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
