Samsung has announced that its Galaxy S4 Zoom camera smartphone with LTE is now available for purchase in Europe on various networks.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is a spinoff of the company's new flagship smartphone and it centers on camera. The handset sports a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 660 x 540 pixels and packs a 1.5GHz processor. According to the company, the Galaxy S4 Zoom will pack different processors in different countries.

"Samsung Electronics announced the launch of the new GALAXY S4 zoom LTE edition, now commercially available in Europe. Samsung continues to grow its pioneering smartphone range, building on the critical acclaim of the GALAXY S4 zoom with the addition of cutting edge LTE connectivity," boasts Samsung in the press release. "Promising a faster than ever connection, the LTE capabilities allow users to experience the connected features of the GALAXY S4 zoom with greater speed, so that they are able to connect with their world easily and quickly."

Other specs and features of the camera-centric Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom include 4G LTE and 3G, 1.4GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, as well as a micro SD card slot with support for up to 64GB cards. The smartphone comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board.

In terms of camera, the Galaxy S4 Zoom boasts a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom and enhanced Smart Modes, optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 24-240mm F3.1-F6.3 lens. The handset also has a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for self-shots and video chats.

Samsung said that the Galaxy S4 Zoom LTE will be available on various networks in Europe, including Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Tele 2 and Telia Sonera. The company makes no mention of pricing in the press release.
