One of the best Role Playing Games to ever come out on the original Xbox is now available for the Apple iPad, and it's looking splendid on the small screen. The game in question is the well loved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a game first developed for the PC and Xbox by BioWare.
Since Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic made its presence felt on the original Xbox, the game has gone on to achieve 40 Game of the Year awards, and up to this day is considered as one of the greatest Role Playing Games of all time.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic had some nice touches back in the day. The Lightsaber fights were unprecedented, the characters showed emotions, the world was vibrant, and the story was top notch. However, what really set this game apart from the plethora of RPGs out at the time, was the option to either go to the dark side, or the light side of the force.
Leading Mac games developer, Aspyr, is the company behind Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for the iPad. These guys are also known for publishing top Mac titles such as Borderlands 2, a host of Call of Duty games, BioShock games, Sim City 4 and a lot more.
"Being able to bring one of the most beloved Star Wars games to iPad for such a momentous event is an incredible honor," said Elizabeth Howard, Aspyr's vice president of publishing. "We have a long history at Aspyr of bringing the best games to Apple platforms, and as bona fide fans of the original release, we've worked to ensure that Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for iPad lives up to its prodigious reputation."
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is based 4,000 years in the past from the original story. This is a time when the Jedi and Sith numbers were in the thousands, and most importantly, the force was balanced. It was a great game back on the Xbox; the experience should not change too much here on the Apple iPad.
You can download Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on iTunes for $9.99
