Samsung already has a Galaxy camera running on the Android operating system, and now the rumors are suggesting that the Korean company is readying the first Samsung Galaxy Camera smartphone.

According to Samsung-oriented website SamMobile, as the second generation Galaxy Camera, Samsung is going to bring out a Galaxy Camera with a 16-megapixel censor and a 4.3-inch qHD SuperAMOLED display. The device will officially be named the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom codenamed SM-C1010.

"The phone self-will have 8 GB of storage, MicroSD up to 64 GB, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS and Android OS Jelly Bean and of course Samsung's own Touch Wiz Nature UX interface. The processor is likely to be dual-core or quad-core sadly the processor and RAM aren't finally decided yet," SamMobile said in its exclusive report.

The first of its kind camera smartphone is expected to arrive on the market by June or July this year in black and white variants.

Samsung tried its hand at a smart camera with the launch of Galaxy Camera, which was announced at IFA Berlin last year. However, the smart camera could not meet the company's expectations and didn't gain popularity like Samsung's other Galaxy devices.

The report doesn't have anything about the optical zoom capacity of the camera phone, but given the fact that the device is more of a camera and less of a phone, the design of the device will be dominated by camera features.

At the start of the year, a smart camera from Samsung was spotted at a Bluetooth benchmark test.

"The Samsung EK-GC110 is Mobile Device with Bluetooth wireless technology. The device has integrated Bluetooth Version 4.0 technology. The Bluetooth in this device supports HSP, OPP, A2DP, AVRCP, GAVDP, HID, PAN etc," Bluetooth.org reported.

This was not the only time when a smart camera from Samsung was spotted and dubbed the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Camera.

Last week, a Dutch website TechTastic reported that a new Samsung Galaxy camera with the model number "EK-GN120" received a Bluetooth certification. The report also added that the camera was something more than a camera, as it was listed under the Mobile Phone category.
