Users of many Samsung Galaxy devices across the world are waiting for the latest Android update, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for quite a while.

While the long wait has come to an end for many, many others are counting days and hoping that the OTA update message pops up into their devices pretty soon.

Here we will tell you which all devices got the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update this week, and at the same time we will also be telling you about the major developments and rumors that took place this week.

First of all, the devices and countries that got the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.

Galaxy Nexus (U.S.): The Samsung-Google Galaxy Nexus devices running on Verizon network have finally got the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update. "The Galaxy Nexus by Samsung will be updated to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The software will be pushed to Verizon Wireless customers in phases starting March 19," Verizon's news page stated.

The update nice features like Gesture Keyboard to the nexus devices. The Gesture Keyboard lets the user type a word letter by sliding his/her finger letter to letter to get the word on the screen.

Galaxy Nexus is the only big device that got the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update this week, but there are a couple of more devices that got a Jelly Bean update but not the 4.2.2.

Samsung's first phablet phone, the Galaxy Note got the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update in India. At the same time the successor of the Note, Note 2 got the same update in the U.S. on T-Mobile.

The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy Note 2 on T-Mobile was pending for a long time, but the delayed update does come with some extra advantages.

"Beginning March 18, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will receive a software update to Android version 4.1.2/ Software T889UVBMB4 via Over The Air (OTA) and Samsung Kies. This update introduces LTE compatibility and other device improvements. Though LTE compatibility is available in the Note 2 with the software update, the T-Mobile 4G LTE network is not available at this time but will be coming soon," a T-Mobile release stated.

Apart from the routine update news, a big information from some unconfirmed sources too came in that broke hears of so many Samsung Galaxy fans.

According to some reports, Samsung is not going to update a list of Galaxy devices to its upcoming Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

As of now, only five devices will get the upcoming update.

There are also reports that the features of the newly released Samsung Galaxy S4 will come in Galaxy S3 devices with the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
