Windows Phone 8 users alongside potential BlackBerry 10 users are set for some good news.

Per reports, Viber, the popular cross-platform instant messaging VoIP app, is soon to increase its ever-increasing user base by adding support for Windows Phone client. A different Viber version for BlackBerry 10 is also in the works.

The information that Viber is soon heading to users of Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10 was revealed by Talmon Marco, the CEO of Viber while in an interview with TruTower over the possibilities of Viber making a mark on these two ecosystems when it’s already a major hit on Android and iOS.

On asked if there is a certain time frame for the release of Viber for Windows Phone 8, and if this release will support Nokia devices only, or the rest of the WP8 devices as well, Marco replied: “Viber for Windows Phone 8 is in final development stages. We should have it real soon.”

He also said that the company is looking forward to the possibility of the app on all platforms, but, at the moment, the company doesn’t have anything new to offer and no announcements regarding this matter is on the cards.

As far as a Viber version for the BlackBerry 10 is concerned, Marco stated that “Viber for BB10, as announced by Blackberry is in development.”

Moreover, while the company doesn’t currently have a timeframe for the app’s release on BB10, “but it should take less than the time it took us to deliver Viber for the previous generation of BB devices. Viber for BB10 will support Voice on day one as well as all the other features found in Viber for Android and iOS. While discussing Blackberry, it should be noted that we are still on track to deliver voice for the current BB devices.”

It was also confirmed that Viber will be introducing brand new stickers with the next release of Viber, and that users can expect more stickers with the release to follow it. Marco finally added: “More features, more platforms, more users, more languages, more releases. Lots more. This is going to be a truly exciting year for Viber users!”
