“Today we're introducing a new version of Twitter for Windows Phone. The four new navigation tabs are meant to help out the user is several different ways. Home is meant to view Tweets from the accounts the user follows. They can now tap a tweet to expand it and see more content, such as photos, videos and Web site summaries.

Connect lets the user keep up with his or her mentions, and the user can see who has followed him or her or retweeted or favorited one of the user’s Tweets.

Discover allows the user to see trends and find new content on Twitter, and the user can browse categories, find friends on Twitter and see suggestions for accounts to follow.

Finally, Me is there to read and respond to the direct messages. From here, users can see their lists, favorites, and more, and can also view and update their profiles.

Apart from these, the Windows Phone app also contains the distinctive feature of being able to pin select Twitter accounts, searches and lists as "live tiles" to Windows Phone's start screen. These tiles will automatically update with new content as it becomes available.
