More good news for all 'Battlefield 3' fans.

Per reports, the upcoming End Game DLC for EA's highly acclaimed and heavily popular FPS (first-person shooter) title 'Battlefield 3' is set to see the return of the exciting Air Superiority mode.

The new information was revealed by NeoGAF after the site spotted the information on the official Battlelog page that suggests that this upcoming DLC will feature both the classic Capture the Flag and the Air Superiority game modes.

However, this is not the first time that the Air Superiority mode has come into contention. The mode has been a big source of various rumors that has made rounds on the Internet for quite some time. Now with this new information about the End Game DLC supporting this mode, it can be safely stated that those previous rumors are true, and even that the upcoming 'Battlefield 4' will also be supporting it from the start.

For those who are unaware of the Air Superiority mode, the player's only objective in this mode is to get rid of the enemy aircraft and secure the air above the map. In order to take the control of the air the team must have more players in the air as compared to the opposite team. If a player decides to leave the aircraft carrier or the plane once the player is away from the carrier will result in death within nine seconds. The team which runs out of tickets first loses the match.

The DLC's current description suggests that "players will be able to coordinate lightning fast attacks and defenses in the return of the classic Capture the Flag game mode, or engage in massive dog fights in Air Superiority. In the skies, the new dropship introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports".

'Battlefield 3: End Game' will is scheduled to arrive with as many as four new vast and varied maps that have been designed for high-speed combat and action. There will also be three new vehicles including the fast and supple dirt bikes, alongside a new dropship that provides support to ground troops with the very important vehicle drop capabilities.

DICE, accordingly, has also stated that a new trailer for End Game will be revealed in the coming days, and fans and gamers can expect the company to demonstrate both of these new modes (CTF and Air Superiority).

'Battlefield 3: End Game' is set for a March 2013 release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
