For several months, the wide belief what that Google's next version of its popular operating system would be Android 5.0 KitKat. Instead, Google recently announced that the next iteration will come in the form of Android 4.4 KitKat, and it has signed a deal with the famous Nestle company.

Earlier this month, the company launched a competition with various special prizes, including the new Nexus 7. The contest kicked off in a number of markets around the world, including the U.S. and parts of Europe, and it has now been expanded and has reached India as well.

Google is throwing in no less than 1,000 Nexus 7 2013 tablets as prizes for the competition. The contest will run through Nov. 15, 2013, and the special KitKat packs include both the milk and dark chocolate varieties of the treat. As previously mentioned, KitKat packs that are part of this promotion are easily recognizable due to the Android robot logo on the packaging.

Inside the package, each of the participant KitKats feature a unique 8-digit code that consumers have to send via SMS messaging to a special number - SMS KITKAT <8-digit code> to 09880298802. Winners will be contacted once the promotion is over. Other regions, meanwhile, also have the option of entering the code on the KitKat Android page, but this choice doesn't seem to be available in India.

The special packs of KitKat are continuing to make their way to increasingly more stores, so look for the Android robot on the pack for a chance to win the new Nexus 7. Check out the KitKat India page for more details on this promotion and to see the winners once they have been selected. Good luck!
