'Call of Duty: Black Ops 2' is easily one of the highly rated and eagerly anticipated games of the year, and while it has obtained overwhelming success for both console and PC, it has also generated some decent sales numbers for the handheld version of the game.
Per reports, Treyarch has been working on fixes for all the released versions of the game and has now released the first patch for the Wii U version, accordingly. 'Black Ops 2' was released on all current platforms, including the new Nintendo Wii U, and considering that the Wii U is a new console, the port was done quite well.
However, similar to other versions of the game, 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 2' on Wii U did suffer from some problems, including a couple of bugs and glitches. However, nothing serious like the frequent stuttering of the PlayStation 3 version happened.
Now fans will be delighted to know that the game has been fixed for the handheld with more fixes to arrive in coming months.
Although there are no patch notes available for the Wii U version of the game, but thanks to Nintendo Everything, a few of those fixes have been identified.
Currently weapons have been slightly rebalanced, the Cursor Sensitivity and Cursor Speed options have been included when using the Wii Remote as controller and two new modes have been added: Multi-Team and Mercenary Moshpit.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been patched on Wii U. Activision and Treyarch sent out an update around a day or so ago. Players should be able to access the 106MB download now," Nintendo Everything states.
"Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 has dominated most sales charts this holiday season, and not without merit: the game is probably the best Call Of Duty game released up until now, featuring a deep storyline and gameplay, an extensive multiplayer mode and an even more developed Zombie Mode sporting features which are absent during the main game," a Gamer Syndrome report adds.
