Samsung is all set to officially launch its Galaxy Note 2 phablet in the U.S. at a press event on Wednesday, Oct. 24 in New York City. Earlier, the Korean company had revealed that five major U.S. carriers - Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular - would get the Galaxy Note 2.
The Note 2 will be available on all major carriers by mid-November and is expected to sell for $299.99 on contract.
"Optimized for the fastest 4G LTE* and HSPA+ 42 networks, the Galaxy Note II will be available through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular by mid-November," states Samsung's Web site.
Verizon is expected to unveil its version of the Note 2 on Oct. 24 and currently, U.S. Cellular is taking pre-orders for the phablet and has priced the Note 2 at $299.99. Additionally, on Oct. 16, carrier Sprint announced that it will launch the Note 2 on Oct. 25 and offer it for $299.99 as well.
Now, according to Phandroid, T-Mobile will launch the highly anticipated phablet on Oct. 24.
"We now have confirmation that the T-Mobile has scheduled the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for this Wednesday, October 24th. This news comes after a tipster sent us these images from HQ officially announcing the release date, along with shipments of the Note 2 already arriving in store," stated the Phandroid report.
T-Mobile is yet to confirm the news and its Web site says "coming soon" and "price not available yet."
What's more, following the T-Mobile leak, AT&T has announced that it will sell the Galaxy Note 2 for $299.99 on a two-year contract. The phablet will be available from Nov. 9 and can be pre-ordered from Oct. 25.

Online pre-orders for this highly anticipated device are planned for Oct. 25 at www.att.com/galaxynoteii," stated the AT&T press release.
The 5.5-inch Note 2 will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, and will be the first U.S. phone to pair a quad-core processor with 4G LTE.
Update: T-Mobile's online store now indicates that the Galaxy Note 2 will be available for $369.99 on a two-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate.
