In a bid to jumpstart sales of its graphics chips and PC video cards, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is now offering an unprecedented bundle.

The Sunnyvale, California-based AMD is launching a new bundle called "Never Settle," that includes an AMD Radeon 7900 graphics card and multiple top-selling video games for hardcore players.

Customers who buy the AMD graphics card will also get four major titles either for free or at a significant discount. The company's latest effort to boost sales comes after AMD recently reported a quarterly loss and announced it would lay off about 15 percent of its workforce, or 1,700 employees.

"This is the single most important game bundle of the year for Radeon graphics," said AMD product marketing manager Robert Hallock in a press briefing. "This is the biggest graphics card bundle we have ever offered, and is probably the biggest graphics card bundle that has ever been offered in the graphics industry."

The new "Never Settle" bundle comes with an AMD Catalyst driver, as well as free PC copies of Far Cry 3, Hitman: Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs. Moreover, customers will also benefit from a 20 percent discount on Medal of Honor: Warfighter. All of these titles are major fall releases.

AMD's bundle also comes with a number of options. Customers who buy an AMD Radeon HD 7800 series graphics card or a Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition card can get Far Cry 3 for free, as well as the 20 percent discount for Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

Meanwhile, gamers who buy two AMD Radeon HD 7850 series graphics cards, two Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition cards, or two Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition cards will get Far Cry 3 and Hitman: Absolution for free, as well as the 20 percent discount on Warfighter. The value of the games AMD included in the bundles ranges between $60 and $170.

When it comes to the new Catalyst 12.11, the driver software promises to deliver a 15 percent performance boost in titles such as Battlefield 3, Sleeping Dogs, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and Dirt: Showdown.

The AMD "Never Settle" bundle will be available later in October, after the launch of Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system.
