Samsung announced the details of its upcoming Windows 8 mobile PC and All-In-One product line up on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The devices are up for pre-order and will hit the shelves from Oct. 26, post Windows 8's official launch.

The extensive line-up of devices include: ATIV Smart PC, Series 5 Ultra Touch, Series 7 Notebook, Series 9 Premium Ultrabook, and the Series 5 and Series 7 all-in-ones.

Additionally, Samsung is touted to bring "premium computing power, elegant design and an intuitive user experience" to its PCs, as well as "seamless convergence" across devices courtesy the AllShare Play feature.

"Samsung's newest PCs feature powerful, exclusive applications that maximize productivity and ease-of-use. All of the products have the ability to seamlessly interact with other Samsung devices, such as mobile phones, tablets and TVs, through Samsung AllShare Play, fully integrating the PC into users' home or office ecosystems. Users can easily share content between their All-In-One and other Samsung devices on the same network," noted the press release.

Samsung will also be offering a wide range of applications across its devices like Samsung Quick Starter, as well as exclusive S Pen apps: S Note and S Memo.

"Samsung has seen extraordinary growth in the mobile PC category over the past few years, and we're now taking our success to the next level by connecting the PC to other devices in the home or office through our convergence technology, Samsung AllShare Play," said Mike Abary, SVP of consumer IT product marketing at Samsung Electronics America.

The pricing for the line-up is as follows:

  • Samsung ATIV Smart PC 500T - $749.99
  • Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro 700T - $1,199.99
  • Samsung Series 5 Ultra Touch: Core i3: $809.99; Core i5: $859.99
  • Samsung Series 7 All-In-One - $1,699.99 for 27-inch version; $1,099.99 for 23.6-inch version.
  • Samsung Series 5 All-In-One - $799.99
  • Samsung Series 7 Notebook - $1,099.99
  • Samsung Series 9 Premium Ultrabook - Starting at $1,299.99

Abary also noted that the "launch of Windows 8 provides an inflection point in the evolution of the PC." He averred that Samsung focuses on pushing boundaries of design

so that it can create iconic devices for consumers and businesses alike.

Samsung's Windows 8 devices can be pre-ordered at www.Samsung.com and will be available in stores from Oct. 26.
