UK retailer Phones4U has put the newly-announced Galaxy S3 Mini up for pre-order on its Web site, offering the first details of on-contract pricing with various carriers.

The handset comes in Marble White or Pebble Blue, and will be sold on by Phones4U on Vodafone, Orange and O2. The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will be available for free on contracts starting at £25 per month.

The cheapest option, at £25 per month, is available from Vodafone. It is a for a two-year contract and includes 300 minutes, unlimited texts, as well as 250MB slice of data per month. For a couple of extra quids, customers can get a little more data from O2, which offers 500MB for £27 per month.

Next up is Orange's Panther 36 plan, which offers 600 minutes, 3000 text messages and 1GB of data for £28.50 per month. For those who make a lot of calls, Vodafone and O2 are offering the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with unlimited calls, texts, and 1GB of data per month for £33 and £36, respectively. Cheaper deals are also available for customers who are willing to pay an up-front fee for the smartphone.

Phones4U also touts two special special offers, throwing in a free Pebble MP3 with the first 350 pre-orders, as well as three months of free Wi-Fi on all pre-orders. Customers, however, don't seem to be rushing in to pre-order the handset, as many were disappointed with the phone's announcement.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 sports a 4-inch WVGA AMOLED screen, packs a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a VGA front-facing camera. It comes in either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage configurations expandable via micro SD, and supports 4G connectivity. The handset also features a decent 1,500mAh battery and comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, along with Samsung's latest TouchWiz Nature UX.

Basically, the Galaxy S3 Mini shares its big brother's design, but comes with downgraded components that would fit the smaller form factor, as well as the lower price tag.

According to Phones4U, those who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini now should get their device early next month, on Nov. 2.
