On Friday, May 6 Huawei announced the rollout of its next software update, EMUI (Emotion User Interface) 5.0 to a slew of devices in India later this month. The Chinese tech firm's proprietary user interface offers a bunch of features such as enhanced security, machine learning, intuitive Interactions and one-button navigation.
Huawei P9, Honor 5C, Honor 6X, and Honor 8 are slated to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat based EMUI 5.0. The popular handset maker's imminent Honor 8 Lite smartphone will be the first in the country to boast EMUI 5.0 out-of-the-box. Taking inspiration from the blue tinge of Aegean Sea, fenced in white all over -- the EMUI 5.0 will oust the lag and dull UI associated with numerous Android devices.
It can be recalled that the Huawei Mate 9 packed the EMUI 5.0 at launch last year and according to the company US arm, the Honor 6X has now started receiving the update, AndroidCentral reported. Moreover, Huawei says EMUI 5.0 is capable of providing most advantageous resources allocation bearing a user's usage pattern in mind, thus enabling phones to stay faster, smoother for an extended period.
As far as gaming experience is concerned, Huawei claims EMUI 5.0 utilizes technologies that boost graphics and display properties in order to facilitate instant picture display that doesn't retain black or white squares even while browsing through the Gallery. Aside from that, the new UI comes with other features such as 'Privacy Space' that help users to switch access using a better fingerprint technology, Gadgets 360 reported.
Another report from TheIndianExpress suggests Huawei combines cloud-based dynamic and static antivirus with a local antivirus and scans hyperlinks in SMS based on real-time and notifies the user in case it is a spam link. According to the company's R&D spokesperson, users can now acquire a considerable 90 percent of the core functions in just a few clicks.
Moreover, users can switch between professional and personal lives without breaking much of a sweat thanks to the new update that allows profiles to run in parallel. In other words, switching of phones won't be needed. Plus, the EMUI 5.0 will support14 Indian languages.
