OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users, rejoice! The Chinese handset maker has rolled a new beta build that not only revamps a slew of features but also fixes several issues associated with the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones.

The update will be specifically available for Open Beta registered users and will be accessible via OnePlus' official website. OTA (Over-The-Air) updates are slated to start streaming sooner rather than later. Those who are not yet registered with the Beta program can directly download and launch the new Open Beta update.

The new update dubbed Open Beta update for OnePlus 3T users and Open Beta 14 for OnePlus 3 users are expected to bring in several improvements along with a number of bug fixes and enhancements. The recently launched Beta build brought support for Android Nougat shortcuts and a new launcher, but it comprised several issues, as reported by users. The latest Beta update tries to fix the existing issues, BGR reported.

The new update addresses the issue associated with system rebooting every time a user tried to change wallpaper and also fixes faulty wallpaper settings. Aside from that, the night-mode issue where the night mode didn't turn off automatically has now been fixed.

Moreover, with the latest update, the default sunrise time has been moved to 6 AM from 8 AM, according to a forums blog post on the OnePlus website by Beta PM and Dev Relations, Adam Krisko.

The OxygenOS Open Beta 14 for the OnePlus 3 brings in an array of Bluetooth improvements including Car Bluetooth fixes, Battery usage optimizations and it also fixes some auto connection issues, Krisko noted in another forum blog post on the handset maker's official website. In addition, the latest Beta build also fixes an issue with dropped GPS connection.

While any OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users can download the new Beta update, it is imperative for users to bear in mind that as soon as they go for the Beta update, the stable version OTA updates automatically stops. It's also worth noting that going back to a stable OTA would reformat the device -- wiping out all data and cache.

Meanwhile, another OnePlus device bearing model number A5000 has made an appearance on China Radio Regulation Authority database. The phone is expected to be the OnePlus 5 -- OnePlus will skim over the number 4 as it is considered unlucky in China, and will be announced sometime later this year.
