Just when the mobile phone market is getting excited for Samsung's announcement about its latest flagship phones - the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, Xiaomi also unveiled the Mi6 in its home market. As Mi 5's successor, it is expected to greatly surpass the success of the previous handset.

The release of Xiaomi Mi6 may have brought a long list of improvements, however, it has not carried the bezel-less display just like the Galaxy S8 and G6. Talking about its pricing is quite impressive, considering that it is already powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. If the previously reported components are supposed to be included with it, it might gather more impressive reviews, such as retaining the headphone jack, says Gizbot.

It might be noticeable now that Xiaomi decided to eliminate the 3.5mm headphone jack and was replaced by a Type C USB interface. The Chinese tech giant, according to Wccftech is following the same path where HTC U Ultra, Moto Z and iPhone 7 Plus are leading to. Regarding this major move for the flagship's component, the manufacturer explained the reason of headphone jack removal. According to Xiaomi, this would provide ample space for other features. It was clearly stated by the company that they have not removed the audio interface, the only thing they did was removing the 3.5mm port for their headphones,

Switching to Type C USB port, Xiaomi provided to Mi 6 users an advantage in doing three tasks at the same time, says PC Advisor. With this technology, it is possible now to listen to music while transferring data and while charging the phone. All of these can only be done together if the device is using a Type C USB. Xiaomi did a great decision in pulling this one. Mi 6 also features an anti-spill protection, simply it just means that once water is dropped on the phone, the components inside will not be harmed but it is totally a different case if it will be soaked in the water.
