The 2017 iteration of the Moto X has not only been floating around the rumor mill but has also been subject to a slew of leaks. Lining with this, the Moto X (2017) leaked online in the form of live images last month. As if that wasn't enough exposure for the purported smartphone, a bunch of new photos has found their way on the internet yet again, throwing more light on the device's design and other details.

The said images of the Moto X (2017) were originally posted on Weibo and spotted by SlashLeaks (via Gadgets 360), and they completely coincide with all previously leaked details about the handset. Here's what consumers are likely to get with this year's version of the Moto X based on these images.

Moto X (2017) Specifications

Although the smartphone seems to boast a Moto Z-like circular camera setup, it shows dual rear cameras. The Moto X (2017) also showcases a front-mounted fingerprint sensor which is oval in shape. Moreover, there's flash support for the front camera. The speculations stem from a bunch of live images of the Moto X (2017) that were shared on Google+ by Jerry Yin in March this year.

A trademark Moto logo with a dimple can be seen at the back of the Moto X (2017) phone and the live images show antenna lines too. While the bottom edge of the device is occupied by the USB Type-C port and speaker grille, the 3.5mm audio jack is situated on the top.

The Moto X (2017) will come with a 5.5-inch full-HD display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone might pack a Snapdragon 625 SoC with 3GB of RAM. Another report from GSM Arena points to the possibility of 4GB of RAM as well and suggests the new Moto X phone will also include 32GB of expandable inbuilt storage. Plus, the device might come with a rear camera that boasts 13MP resolution.

Moto X (2017) Release Date

The Moto X (2017) smartphone might turn out to be one of the most compelling handsets to arrive this year if the leaked details about the handset are anything to go by. That being said, the burning question on everyone's mind is exactly when the new Moto smartphone will hit the store shelves.

Despite the lack of an official announcement of an event from Lenovo's end, there's hearsay that the Moto X (2017) will be launching within the next few weeks. Furthermore, the Moto brand's budget-friendly policy is expected to lure more and more consumers when the handset finally arrives.

Interestingly, Lenovo hasn't unified connected pins at the rear of the smartphone in order to support Moto Mods.
