Xiaomi has just confirmed that it will indeed be unveiling its latest generation flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 6, today in China. The company posted the schedule of its unveiling event to be on April 11 at noon, Beijing time. The post was made through the company's social media account on the Twitter equivalent Weibo website.

Ahead of its actual unveiling, the actual pricing and variants have reportedly been leaked. According to GSM Arena, the pricing structure for the different variants have just recently been leaked, giving users an idea of what will be available when the actual device is released.

According to XDA Developers, the base model of the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be equipped with a slightly slower processor in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM. All of the other variants will reportedly come with the higher end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, which is the same processor that is found on the recently released Samsung Galaxy S8.

The base model will be apparently be sold at just $290. Next up the line is the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage variant, which is priced at approximately $332. The high-end Xiaomi Mi 6 variant with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage will be available for around $391.

As for the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus models, prices will start at $376 for the 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage variant. This will then go up to $434 for the 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage model. The most expensive Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus model will reportedly have 8 GB of RAM and a whopping 256 GB of internal storage space. The high-end variant will cost around $507.

The standard Xiaomi Mi 6 variants will be equipped with a 5.15-inch full HD display, while the larger Plus models will come with a 5.7-inch screen. As for its other features, the devices are expected to come with a new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.
