While there has yet to be any official announcements from Xiaomi regarding their upcoming 2017 flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 6, the full specs for the device has now been reportedly leaked. Someone from Xiaomi or from a third party company has apparently decided to test out the device's benchmark results, which was then leaked online.

The test results were first spotted on the GFXBench website for Android. The phone itself was not labeled as the Xiaomi Mi 6, but was instead named as "Xiaomi Sagit." However, given the fact that the processor listed on the benchmarking site shows a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, there is no doubt that the unit used in the test was a Xiaomi Mi 6 or its prototype.

As of the moment, there are only two other phones that have been announced that will be sporting the brand new chipset, namely the previously announced Sony Xperia XZ Premium and the recently released Samsung Galaxy S8. The Xiaomi Mi 6 will become the third device to sport the next generation chip, which is actually a big deal for Xiaomi, as per a report from GSM Arena.

As previously mentioned, the handset tested on the benchmarking website is using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and an Andreno 540 GPU. The alleged Xiaomi Mi 6 is also shown to sport a 5.1-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080. The device is also shown to be running Android 7.1.1, but it doesn't necessarily mean that the device will be running the same version when it will be officially unveiled this month.

The Xiaomi Mi 6's camera setup is a 12-megapixel 4K video-capable camera at the back and an 8-megapixel shooter up front. The unit is also revealed to be coming in two distinct variants. The low-end Mi 6 will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, while the higher-end model will have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
