The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to launch this year. Among the highly anticipated features for the upcoming device are the in-display fingerprint sensor and the dual rear camera.
Earlier, the trend of integrating a dual camera setup for flagships phones was a trend, prior to its release, the Galaxy S8 was speculated to sport one. However, it was later revealed that the company dropped the said feature and only launched a single rear camera.
Despite that this has not materialized with the Galaxy S8, it is most likely the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have this. Several speculations claim that the South Korean tech giant would most likely have one device with a dual camera setup, in one of its upcoming devices, and that would refer to the Note 8.
Another cutting edge feature that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will allegedly sport is the in-display fingerprint authentication. According to a report by The Investor Samsung has been working with Synaptics to have this feature in one of its devices soon as S8 dropped its home button. However, it was revealed that Samsung ran out of time and instead of having the in-display fingerprint authentication, it opted to a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
The fact that Samsung and Synaptics started working on the said feature, it makes perfect sense that it will be integrated to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8. This was further backed by a Vietnamese website posting several images and videos showing allegedly the Galaxy S8 prototypes, which some featured a dual camera set up.
Samsung could potentially mark these prototypes and implement it on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It just so unlikely for the company to abandon what their team and Synaptics had started developing. These features are also essential if Samsung would want to regain the trust of the consumers with its Note series.
