Reportedly, the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released this year. The device will be equipped with either SD-365 or Kaby Lake processor or a rechargeable Surface Pen.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was expected to be launched in October 2016. However, only the Surface Studio and Surface book i7 were released. Speculations were rife that the device will be available by March, with a no-show in the previous month, reports are pointing to a Fall 2017 release again.
Learn Bonds reported that several analysts are confirming an October 2017 release for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. One main indication of the device's availability in Fall is the alleged release of Windows Creator Update. Several speculations claim that the latest patch will only be released in the fall wrapping up the Windows Event. In addition, the said month is said to be the ideal time in launching new devices as it approaches the holiday season and buyers are readily spending cash for some gadgets.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is speculated to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 635 processor. There are, however, other claims that it will sport Intel Kaby Lake chips. Several analysts pointed out that the likelihood of the device running on Kaby Lake is high given that with the Intel's processor, battery use can be minimized and the integration of LTE for mobile connectivity is an added feature.
In a separate report published by PC Advisor, the site claims of a potential 16GB of RAM and 512GB internal storage capacity. In addition, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to be released with a rechargeable Surface Pen.Aside from those; the flagship device is also expected to feature USB Type-C support and a sturdy battery. The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is also anticipated to have two display variants namely the 2K and the 4K resolution.
