Apple has taken a dig at laptops when it released the iPad Pro's new ads. The latest round of ads featuring the company's new device is set to show how terrible laptops are.
A Direct Swipe At Laptops
These days, laptops are becoming archaic and a bit heavy because of premium hardware. It is generally becoming more of a movable desktop unit rather than a portable and handy device.
The guys at Apple are showing these problems to the world to make them buy the iPad Pro instead. There are lighter laptop variants sold to consumers but with limited horsepower.
That's where the Cupertino-based tech giant is getting advertising Gold. Because according to CNET, Apple is taking real tweets from different individuals.
Advertising With Real Twitter Users
In one of the ads, a twitter user named Adriana is complaining that her laptop is heavy and weighs "5 million tons." The guys at Cupertino were smart enough to emphasize that the iPad Pro only weighs a pound.
Capitalizing on the moment, the iPad Pro then inserted a quick tidbit to feature its useful apps. Which eventually took off Adriana's mind on having a big and clunky desktop/laptop unit.
The second ad features the tale of someone that had her laptop die halfway through a flight. The iPad Pro was quick to feature some of its premium perks including voiceover and its day-long battery.
The final ad shows a woman named Tal who can't get her work done in the dorm. Note: This one is intriguing with the carnal exploration thing (check out the ad below).
Tal for some reason feels bad of the situation that a helpful Apple voice over suggests that she buy an iPad Pro. The advertisement added a few touch of ingenuity when Tal is able to put all her notes and textbooks on the iPad.
Debate Still On Going With Tabs & Laptops
Although Apple was able to portray the daily struggles of having a laptop, most people still prefer the latter. The iPad Pro does have some advantages but for now, laptops are more functional in terms of everyday use.
Macworld UK has interesting things going on with their review of the iPad Pro versus the Galaxy Book. Both companies have been busy trying to kill off the laptop genre. It's a nice article to debate the effectiveness of Laptops and Tablets, stay tuned for more.
