Consumers outside the United States will be able to get their hands on Microsoft's Surface Studio all-in-one PC for the first time on April 20.

Microsoft is making both the Surface Studio and Surface Dial available to pre-order in New Zealand, Canada, and Australia. The Redmond-based tech giant confirmed the devices will be up for grabs in the aforesaid markets on April 20. It's worth noting that the company's first expansion of the Surface Studio won't encompass European markets.

Aside from the Surface Studio expansion, the popular software maker will also be making its revamped Surface Book with the performance base accessible to consumers in more countries. Pre-orders kicked off Wednesday, March 29 in several countries including the UK, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, France, Finland, Denmark, China, and Austria.

Microsoft Surface Studio Specifications

The Surface Studio is an all-in-one desktop ideal for artists. The device sports a 28-inch touchscreen that can be adjusted to appear more like an artists' canvas. It packs a robust GPU capable of handling heavy-duty graphics.

The Surface Dial is a controller that draws power from a battery. This controller can be fixed on the screen in order to facilitate artwork creation, something similar to how a stylus makes it easier to takes note on tablets.

Microsoft Surface Book (Updated) Launch Date

The Surface Book with performance base will hit the store shelves in the aforesaid markets on April 20, Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President, Windows and Devices Group announced on Microsoft's website. Consumers will be able to order Surface Book with performance base via Microsoft's website with price starting at $1,499 (US).

Microsoft Surface Book 2 Release Date

The Surface Book expansion could hint at the delayed launch of a new Surface Book 2. While multiple sources have been hinting at a looming arrival of the next Surface Book with a clamshell laptop form factor, a recent report coming from ZDNet suggests Microsoft will host a Surface hardware event in the spring where the Surface Book 2 will not be even making an appearance.
