Smartphones have been a part of our lives. The device connects us to the world, to our family and friends, and even to our jobs. However, the more we use these devices, the higher the energy they consume and results to draining the batteries.
This pressing issue is a global concern, and although there are ways to calibrate it, most of them require some kind of technical understanding. In our latest guide, there are steps that you can follow that will help you calibrate the battery of your Android phone without entailing extensive technical skills.
To start with, users must first be able to identify the reason for the battery's decreased performance. This is important because most of the time users point the issue to the battery when in reality it was the Android system that is causing the headache. For users who have a removable battery cover, turn off the phone, and check the battery for bulges, and leaks.
You can check the Battery Stats available to all Android operating system. This feature keeps track of every device's battery capacity. However, there are instances when the device becomes corrupted and starts acting up. This usually happens when your phone switches off before it reaches zero percent in your battery indicator. If this is the case, the best solution is to correct the Android OS so it will reflect the actual level of your battery. Install the latest OS update to your device is the simplest way to correct this.
Another way to calibrate your Android phone's battery is to fully charge and discharge it. To do this, drain the device until it automatically switches off. Connect your device to a charger and charge it without turning it on. Allow it to charge until the on-screen LED indicates that it has reached 100 percent.
After that, switch on the device, if ever the battery turns out to be lower than 100 percent upon switching on, connect it to the charger again until it gets the 100 percent status. Remove it from the charger when it reached 100 percent, then restart your phone. You have to repeat the process until it gets the 100 percent battery status.
The next step is to drain the battery again until it switches off. Charge your Android phone without any interruption and reset the Android system's battery percentage. This process must not be done regularly as this will result in system damage. You can do this Android battery calibration process once every quarter.
