Another leaked render is pointing to Xiaomi Mi6. This time the render revealed that the upcoming Chinese smartphone would have a dual camera feature.
Speculations about the soon to be released Xiaomi Mi6 smartphone have been making rounds online. The previous report claimed that the release of the device was delayed because of issues that arose between Samsung and Qualcomm. The news about Xiaomi Mi6 did not stop there, however. The latest talks about a press render, which illustrated the device in a glossy black color variant.
Leaked Render
The leaked image depicted the smartphone in a black glossy color from front to back with curved edges resemblance of Mi Note 2. In addition, there is a dual-camera set up at the back part of the device. In the front, a visible Home Button is shown placed at the bottom part of the device. The image was posted on Weibo and was first reported by Playful Droid.
Three Smartphone Variants
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi6 is speculated to come in three variants. There will be a standard model, which is expected to sport a dual curved display. Another variant equipped with Snapdragon 821 SoC is expected. This was the alleged solution of the company for the recent dilemma with the shortage in the processors. Moreover, the other variant, which is the premium variant, will be released with Snapdragon 835 processor.
Other Anticipated Specs and Features
Reportedly, the Xiaomi Mi6 would have a Quad HD 2K OLED display. It will also come with dual curved edges. The standard variant is anticipated to sport 6GB of RAM and 256GB built-in storage. It would also have a dual-camera set up at the back part as shown in the leaked render.
The other variant, the one with Snapdragon 821 allegedly would have a 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal capacity. It is also speculated to have a 4,000mAh battery as reported by GSM Arena.
Release Date
The standard Xiaomi Mi6 variant is expected to be released on April 16. The lower specs variant, which is expected to release with a Snapdragon 821 processor is said to be released earlier than the standard flagship model. It is most likely anticipated to be available in the earlier part of April. The premium variant will be released with a Snapdragon 835 processor in May.
