Samsung's Galaxy S8 has been floating around the rumor mill for quite a long time now giving rise to all sorts of speculations regarding the highly anticipated flagship smartphone. Here's a rundown of the hottest rumor making the rounds all over the internet.
The latest buzz on the Galaxy S8 suggests the phone's 12MP rear camera will boast a feature that will allow its users to record videos at incredible speeds of up to 1000fps (frames per second). Aside from that, Samsung will be introducing improvements to the front-facing camera.
The South Korean handset maker added DRAM (Dynamic random access memory), which is used as the buffer memory, into the Galaxy S8's camera sensor in order to equip the phone's camera with 1000fps video recording feature, according to Naver (via SamMobile).
Not too long ago, Sony introduced the Xperia XZ Premium with a 19MP camera sensor (IMX400) that employs a similar method to capture 960fps slow-motion videos at 720p; however, the publication's sources confirmed that the Galaxy S8 won't use the same sensor.
Moreover, the Galaxy S8 could sport an 8MP front snapper with an autofocus feature. The site also claims the front mounted iris scanner will have 3.7MP RGB camera sensor of its own.
Samsung continues to refrain from divulging more details about the Galaxy S8 but, with just a couple of weeks left for the long-awaited full reveal of the Galaxy S8 and its larger variant, the Galaxy S8 Plus, smartphone lovers won't have to wait too long to find out what the next Galaxy flagship smartphones have in store for them.
Samsung takes the smartphone realm by storm each year by rolling out a new model in its lauded Galaxy S lineup. Within just a few days from its launch, the new device becomes the most powerful Android phones in the world.
However, Samsung has been unable to match Apple iPhone's power. The Cupertino tech titan's in-house chips, coupled with its very smooth iOS software remain simply unbeatable every year until the company comes out with the next iPhones, according to BGR.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus on March 29 at a press conference in New York City. Do you think Samsung Galaxy S8 could surpass Apple's iPhone 8, which is also expected to hit the store shelves this year? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
