Apple is reportedly on the verge of unveiling a bunch of new products at an event scheduled to take place sometime this month.
The rumor mill has been churning quite a few speculations around the purported product line; which many say will include a Red tinted iPhone 7, a 128GB storage version of the iPhone SE along with a new iPad Pro, that's likely to be unveiled at the March event. While Apple has neither confirmed nor denied these rumors, a recently surfaced report claims that the Redmond-based tech titan is indeed gearing up to release new products, in the week of March 20 to March 24.
According to unnamed supply chain analysts, who spoke to MacRumors, the shred of information regarding the launch timeline comes from its own sources and not stem from other reports. However, Apple has not yet invited the media to an event slated to take place this month, and if it does anytime soon, those invites would be on quite shorter notice than expected. But that's highly unlikely.
In the past couple of years, Apple has been sending out invites to the media for its March event about 11-12 days in advance. For instance, Feb. 26 invites for Apple's March 9, 2015, event and March 10 invites for the company's March 21 event in 2016. Taking into consideration that Apple has not yet invited the media to its imminent launch event for new products, there's also a possibility that the tech firm could actually be planning to hold an event later than usual.
The anonymous sources divulged barely any details about the March launch event. It can be recalled that an earlier report from Gadgets 360 claimed that Apple has put its March launch event on hold for new iPad models until May or June. Lining with this, another report pointed to April 4 launch date for the new iPad.
The March event is likely to see the launch of three new iPad Pro models in 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, and 12.9-inch display sizes. Aside from that, a 7.9-inch iPad mini refresh, which would reportedly oust the iPad mini 4, is also expected to be launched at the event. But that's not all! Apple Pencil 2 could also be making an appearance at the event alongside the new iPad Pro models.
Despite the lack of an official announcement, more details about Apple's March event are likely to surface online in near future. Watch this space for more news and updates regarding the tech giant's looming launch event.
