Samsung has now quietly released a smaller version of its Galaxy C7 Pro smartphone, which was launched just two months ago. The smaller device, called the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro, will essentially have all the same internals as the C7 Pro with the exception of its smaller screen and smaller battery. The new addition to the Galaxy C5 lineup continues its tradition of elegant design, affordable pricing, and mid-to-high end specs.
As per a report from Gadget 360, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro sports an all-metal unibody design with familiar antenna bands on the top and bottom of the device. Similar to its larger sibling, the device sports a fingerprint sensor embedded right into its home button up front. All other hardware placement remains the same, namely for the USB Type-C port, the audio jack, volume buttons and power button.
As previously mentioned the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro comes equipped with a smaller 5.2-inch display. The Super AMOLED screen is a Full HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a highly capable Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chipset with its Cortex-A53 cores humming at 2.2 GHz.
The CPU is paired with an ample 4GB of RAM, which should be enough to take on any intensive tasks and applications. The device is being offered with 64 GB of internal memory space, which will be expandable via a microSD card slot.
As for the camera setup, the C5 Pro will be sporting the same resolution camera in the front and at the back. The cameras are two 16 megapixel units with an f/1.9 aperture capable of recording HD videos at decent framerates. As with most devices being offered by Samsung lately, the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro will be capable of supporting two SIM cards.
Pre-orders for the device are already open on Samsung's China website. The phone is available in three different colors, namely Maple Leaf, Powder Rose and Lake Blue. The Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro is being priced at CNY2,499 or around $362.
