Apple iPhone 8 will be released alongside iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. In addition, iPhone 8 reportedly will have a 5.8-inch display screen.
It was reported a few days ago that the iPhone 8, Apple's next flagship smartphone will be the first ever device from the company to sport an OLED screen. However, it was not detailed if the upcoming device would have a 5-inch screen, or would come with a larger display screen.
Information previously revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities had revealed that the display screen will be 5.8 inches. In addition, the 5.15-inch would be the usable screen and the virtual home button would take up the remaining. In a separate report released by Nikkei Asian Review, it was noted that the iPhone 8 would sport an immense 5.8-inch OLED display. Assuming that this report is true then the device would have the biggest screen ever for an iPhone.
In addition, the report stated that the iPhone 8, which most fans believe as the iPhone X, will launch alongside two updated versions of the iPhone 7, namely the iPhone7s and iPhone 7s Plus. As to the price, Nikkei disclosed that the upcoming iPhone 8 would be more costly than the iPhone 7. Although no specific price was shared, the report claimed to have it priced over $1000 at launch.
There are also speculations and unconfirmed reports claiming that the iPhone 8 will have a variant that will have a 3GB of RAM and a lower variant 64 GB of internal storage. At present, iPhones have a 32 GB storage for its base models. Allegedly, this soon will change, as the next line of iPhones to be released will have the highest internal memory, which is a whopping 256 GB.
The iPhone 8, and the updated versions of iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s plus will be launched in the middle of 2017. It was slated to be released in the later part of the year. It is also worth noting that there are reports claiming that the Cupertino-based company will start the massive production of its new devices in July. This is in preparation for the expected high demand for its release.
