The Philadelphia 76ers will reportedly begin buyout talks with center Andrew Bogut. This will give playoff teams the opportunity to pick up the Australian Center. According to reports, the Rockets, Cavaliers and Spurs will go after Bogut with the Warriors still considering other options before pursuing a reunion with the center.
Andrew Bogut has been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the package that will send Nerlens Noel to the Dallas Mavericks. According to reports, the 76ers tried to trade the big man before the NBA trade deadline expired but was not able to find a suitable trade partner.
According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be trying to land Andrew Bogut once the center and Sixers agree to a buyout. The Rockets and Spurs will also pursue a deal with Bogut. The Cavs will get as much help as it can to bolster its bid to win a back to back NBA title. Aside from going after Andrew Bogut, the Cavs will also look to lock Deron Williams once the former All-Star point guard clear waivers.
With the second half of the season already on its way, Bogut will be considering going after a second NBA ring in his decision. The Cleveland is a favorite to represent the East in the NBA finals this year. The Rockets and Spurs, though a legitimate title contender, must first overcome the Golden State Warriors to get out of the tight Western Conference.
Bogut will be a big help for either the Rockets or Spurs. Though the center is only averaging a single block this season, Bogut's presence around the rim is still able to alter shots. Bogut is also known as an able passer. The Golden State Warriors may also come in late to make way for a reunion with its center. Wherever Andrew Bogut chooses to play next, the center is sure to boost the team's NBA title run.
