The NBA trade deadline was not as eventful as it was hyped to be as the only news worthy movement that occurred was the Nerlens Noel Dallas Mavericks trade. However, a number of playoffs team is still looking to snag significant additions to their rosters via the waived players' pool.

Waived NBA Players That Playoff Teams Should Try To Sign

Deron Williams

The former three-time NBA All-Star may be the best player in this year's waived NBA players' pool. Though Deron Williams is only a shell of his former All-Star self, he is still an able playmaker and can even start in some NBA teams today. According to reports, the Utah Jazz will be going after the point guard. However, recent reports suggest that a Deron Williams Cleveland Cavaliers agreement is already imminent.

Andrew Bogut

The Australian Center is a legitimate inside presence and a playoff contender that is in need of rim protection may try hard to land Andrew Bogut. According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Houston Rockets is interested in adding Bogut to their roster.

The Rockets currently have Centers Nene and Clint Capela in their rotation. Adding Bogut may diminish the minutes of both players or can result to Rockets also waiving a center in the process. The Cavaliers is also reportedly interested in acquiring Bogut.

Terrence Jones

Terrence Jones is one of the casualties in the DeMarcus Cousins New Orleans Pelicans trade. With Cousins manning their middle and forming a frontcourt duo with Anthony Davis, having Terrence Jones no longer made sense for the Pelicans.

Though the Golden State Warriors is reportedly interested in reuniting with Andrew Bogut, Terrence Jones may be a better fit. Terrence Jones is currently averaging is currently averaging 12ppg and 6rpg. Though he may not be a legitimate outside threat he can still draw defenders out of the rim to provide more spacing.
