The Brazilian capoeira Eddy Gordo will be making his way to "Tekken 7" that is set to debut on PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms this June. This is according to those who were present at the game's press event being held in Brazil.
Both Michael Murray and Katsuhiro Harada are at the press event, his source who was present there confirmed that Eddy was revealed at the conference, as per a NeoGaf post. Eddy Gordo is a very popular character who debuted in the arcade version of "Tekken 3." It appears that Murray and Harada already revealed the Brazilian capoeira's appearance in "Tekken 7", so fans would just wait for Bandai Namco's official announcement for it.
Meanwhile, Harada earlier discussed the story mode of "Tekken". He said that the campaign will be very different from previous versions of the franchise, Segment Next reported. He further stated that the typical story mode in fighting games would just simply load the game and each character would say a line or two and then they start to brawl with a time limit. But in "Tekken 7", it's different: The relation of players to their opponent distance-wise, maybe their health or the status of the stage. Harada said that this is designed this way so that players would feel that the game is very immersive.
"Whatever is going on in the cinematics shifts straight into the in-game scene, and then straight into the gameplay itself. You're not thrown into the standard battle," Harada explained. Recenty, Michael Murray confirmed via Twitter that the game will not be adding classic characters as paid DLC. Prior to that, Harada also confirmed that they will not feature classic characters as downloadable contents. Instead, the game will feature special characters as downloadable contents.
"Tekken 7" is a fighting video game developed and published by Bandai Namco. Following a heavy demand from fans, it is set to launch on June 2 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
