"Pokémon GO's" Gen 2 Update brought along more than 80 Pokémon and some changes on the many features of the game. While the update had been formally announced by Niantic, it seems the devs left out one significant change concerning the Nests and the different pocket monsters that spawn from them.
Over at Reddit is a user with the handle PotatoPie25, who shared his weird experience with Nests over the weekend. According to the post, he and his family noticed that the Nests they bumped into changed depending on the time of the day. The Redditor claimed the one Nest they found spawned Abra in the afternoon and spew out Chikorita in the evening. Upon checking his local "Pokémon GO" Facebook page, others have accounted similar experiences. Because of this, the Redditor concluded that Nests change in day/night cycles.
Other Redditors have since chimed in, saying that the cycles have been noted in their local areas. One "Pokémon GO" trainer said: "I've definitely seen this. Spawns change radically for me. My college is Snubbull during the day and Venonat at night." On the other hand, other users said that the alterations have not happened in their area.
This new found observation follows the report from Heavy where alterations in the spawns of certain Pokémon have been noticed. The publication stated that some Pokémon Nests have changed to accommodate the new pocket monsters that the "Pokémon GO" Gen 2 Update brought along. Some Nests that spawned Gen 1 Pokémon have reportedly been altered to spawn Gen 2 Pokémon.
Meanwhile, The Silph Road recently updated its map of "Pokémon GO" spawning locations based on Trainers' reports. The new Map shows several changes such as Abra to Chikorita, Caterpie to Sentret, Eevee to Slugma, Electabuzz to Psyduck, Jynx to Wobbufett and many others. Click on the link to view them all.
