With "Criminal Minds" season 12 episode 13 coming on Feb. 15, the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) would be under pressure as it will be dealing with one of its own. The episode has been hyped as a game-changer and has been also advertised dramatically that could change the character in the series.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!
There have been hearsays as well that "Criminal Minds" genius doctor Spencer Reid (who has an IQ of 187) is being trapped in Mexico although it's unclear whether or not he is in the hands of an UnSub (Unknown Subject) but it appears that he is behind bars; thanks to the "Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 13 promo released as seen below. Reid is being accused of a murder and reports say that he doesn't remember anything that has transpired in the incident and can't do something to get himself out of this trouble.

Reid is being trapped in another country and given that the BAU doesn't have a jurisdiction there, it could be a challenge for each of the team member to do something to help him. On the plus side though, the team seeks help from International Response Team to get Reid out from prison and it also appears that Reid's life is apparently not in danger (hopefully).

Many fans have been actually worried about Spencer Reid's fate in the upcoming episode especially that it is titled ‘Spencer' and it is being co-written by Erica Messer and Kirsten Vangsness where both of them penned the episodes for Gideon and Morgan. It is known that the two both decided to leave "Criminal Minds" and fans are still not over with Hotch's sudden departure from the series.

Vangsness has previously pointed out that "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 13 ‘Spencer' will change the course in the series, particularly with Reid. Messer also said that it's going to be an intense one.

"Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 13 ‘Spencer' airs on Feb. 15 at 9 PM ET on CBS. Stay tuned.
