The Apple TV has changed the way people use their ordinary TVs. The latest generation of the device now allows its users to play casual games, access weather and news services apps and now has Siri built-in. Renaming your Apple TV

This is applicable if you have multiple devices in your home to differentiate it from one another. Go to Settings, General, About then Name. From there, you can choose a preset name for your device such as Living Room or Bedroom, or you can choose Custom Name to give your device a more personal touch.

Faster way of deleting multiple apps

The normal way of deleting apps is to long press on an icon, press the Play/Pause button then select Delete and confirm. If you want to delete multiple apps faster, go to Settings, General, Manage Storage and simply click the trash icons to the right side of the apps you want to delete.

Extra Menu button functions

When you double-click the Menu button, the screensaver will start. By triple-clicking the same, it will now activate your Accessibility Shortcuts such as Closed Captioning, Voice Over or Zoom.

Automatically install apps

If you want your Apple TV to automatically install apps that you installed on your iPhone, go to Settings, Apps and click Automatically install apps to turn it on.

"What did he just say?"

When you're watching a TV show or a movie and you couldn't understand the character is saying, hold the Siri button and ask, "What did he just say?" The video will now go back to the point before the last person started talking while Closed Captioning will be temporarily turned off so you may hear it again.
