Next week will be a busy one for tech fans, with several exciting releases promising to shake up the gadget market. Amazon has an event planned on Aug. 6, when it is expected to unveil its new line of Kindles, while Nokia and Motorola will be going head to head, as both have launch events scheduled for Aug. 5.

Both Motorola and Nokia are expected to unveil their latest and coolest smartphones - Nokia will reportedly unleash the Phi and the Arrow, while Motorola is expected to pull the wraps off the RAZR HD and the freshly-leaked Droid RAZR M 4G LTE. Speculation has abounded regarding the Droid RAZR M 4G LTE, also known as the Motorola XT907, an LTE handset bound for Verizon, but Engadget now offers a full set of specs and pictures to show the device ahead of its unveiling.

Spec Sheet

The Droid RAZR M 4G LTE will reportedly sport a 3.5-inch qHD, 950 x 540, Super AMOLED Advanced display, likely the same ColorBoost panel as Sprint's Photon Q. The handset will also pack a dual-core MSM9060 Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera capable of shooting 1080p video, and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats. The phone has only 8GB of internal memory but also offers microSD support. Other features include full GSM/UMTS/HSPA+ global roaming, NFC, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a virtual row of navigation keys, and Gorilla Glass 2 protection to keep the display scratch-resistant. Meanwhile, the back of the device sports a now-standard Kevlar case, similar to that of the Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX.

Mid-Range Handset, Attractive Price Tag

The Droid RAZR M 4G LTE seems like a sleek device, but its mid-range specs mean the spotlight will most likely be on the long-awaited RAZR HD, as expected. The RAZR M's display is not very large and it does not offer a very high resolution, but the handset does pack a solid spec sheet.

According to a BGR report citing an anonymous source, the Droid RAZR M 4G LTE will be launching soon on Verizon Wireless, touting a price tag of $149.99 on contract. The handset will come in two color options: black and white.
