Since its release in November 2016, "Final Fantasy XV" has had several DLC and updates released. In line with that, Hajime Tabata confirmed that 70 per cent of the "FFXV" team is still working on the game for more updates and contents. The director also revealed the possibility of a flying regalia in the future.
Hajime Tabata was interviewed by DualShockers pertaining to some details about "Final Fantasy XV." An interesting part of the interview was about the possibility of a flying Regalia that is available on new game+.
Tabata said the Regalia Type-F or the flying Regalia was an interesting idea. However, there are other tasks that are priorities so there is no concrete news as to when or if they will ever create one.
"It's not impossible, but it's a matter of the order in which we might do that," the 'Final Fantasy XV' Game Director said. "With the flying Regalia, there is a little bit of frustration from the fact that you can't go to every place where you'd like to go, however this is something that we're looking into, and of course, if we can implement this, it would probably enhance the game."
During the same interview, the director revealed that "FFXV" was indeed profitable since day one of its release. Apart from that, the director said that the team got a chance to have a stronger business sense when it came to DLCs.
In the past, "Final Fantasy" titles were just and not updated from time to time. Although it is one of the biggest game franchises in the industry, DLCs and updates weren't common back in those days. However, these contents and upgrades soon became a norm, especially with various game titles.
Tabata did say he had a sense of how games like "The Witcher III" and "Grand Theft Auto" rolled out their contents. However, the "Final Fantasy XV" director and the team had their own way of handling DLCs. Speaking of DLCs, a new feature will be coming soon to "Final Fantasy XV." It seems that the character creation Square Enix once has announced is on its way.
According GameSpot, the director has explained that it is now on the work. Alongside with it is a multiplayer feature. As of now, the team of "Final Fantasy XV" said the feature is still in its early stages. However, with the team working on it, it is possible that players might get the feature really soon.
