NVIDIA has released a driver updates just in time for Valentine's Day. The latest upgrade is now game-ready making players more excited of the possibilities this will provide them.
Fixes for games
AnAndTech said that the NVIDIA 378.66 driver update has made gameplay better for players by resolving flickering issues as well as problems in switching from full-screen and windows mode. Crashes that happens in the middle of playing games has also been resolved by this new driver update.
Game Ready support
It was added in a PC Gamer report that the Game Ready support for some big titles like "Halo Wars 2," "Sniper Elite 4," and "For Honor" is also part of the new driver upgrade. It also highlighted that the full version, not a beta introduction, also added a 3D compatibility mode for the mentioned games.
NVIDIA's 378.66 driver update also provided a solution for the inability to detect different television models. It solved the system crash that happens every time HDMI 2.0 connections are used.
Ansel technology
NeoWin added that also provides support for NVIDIA's Ansel technology. This gives players the ability to take screenshot of the game in HDR quality and also make a 360 image for sharing on their personal computers, VR headsets and even smartphones.
Aside from the driver update, NVIDIA has also reported added the Video SDK 8.0 feature. It gives high-bit decoding for videos and provides support for encoding and enhancements for games.
Windows version availability
The driver update is available for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7 users. Its release notes can be found through this link.
