DICE, the world renowned developers of Battlefield 3, is gearing up to deploy the next DLC for the title on September 4. The game, which has been praised by critics for its intense online multiplayer and great looking graphics, has already gotten a previous DLC that had new close quarter maps and modes.

Come September 4, PS3 owners who subscribed to Battlefield Premium will be the first to experience the new DLC that is focused more on vehicular action than anything else. Xbox 360 and PC Battlefield Premium subscribers will get their chance at the game the week after on September 11.

On September 18, every PlayStation 3 owner will get the option to download the update, followed by Xbox 360 and PC on September 25. For those who do not have much love for the PS3, you will definitely feel left out as DICE and EA give the platforms and its users a lot of preference due to a deal between EA and Sony. This is much like what many developers do with the Xbox 360, so there is no need to complain about it.

FEATURES:

  • All-out vehicle warfare on four new maps
  • Includes the biggest map in Battlefield history
  • New vehicles, including tanks, ATV's, and mobile artillery
  • Bring back five new vehicle unlocks to the base game
  • Earn 20+ unlocks for the new vechicles in Armored Kill
  • New Tank Superiority game mode
  • All maps playable with all six game modes

Armored Kill is what gamers have come to love with the Battlefield franchise over the years. Huge maps with tanks and aerial vehicles everywhere is what Battlefield is all about. There is also a new game mode in the DLC, one that is called Tank Superiority. Here, gamers are tasked with taking objectives by only using tanks. This should be immensely interesting. A game mode where everyone on the battlefield is in a tank is going to make for one hell of an experience and shouldn't be too long forgotten.

Armored Kill is the third piece of DLC content for Battlefield 3. You can be sure that there will be a 4th and a 5th before the next version of the game is released in 2013.
