The upcoming virtual reality experience "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" release has been delayed. Developers revealed it would be setting off for intergalactic adventures a little later, coming May 30, 2017.
Delayed Launch
Ubisoft's upcoming "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" with the magic of virtual reality, will let players experience on how to interact and command their own rendition of a Star Trek ship. In addition, players will be able to explore the Star Trek universe from the simulated bridge of a Federation starship, in virtual reality. Moreover, you will now get to choose which starship you would want to inhabit.
Ubisoft disclosed in a blog post that "Star Trek: Bridge Crew" has been delayed to May from its originally scheduled release in March. The developer did not offer additional explanation or details regarding the delay. Fans are looking forward that hopefully, the additional time can help make the game's VR experience even more authentic and realistic to the classic sci-fi series.
USS Enterprise
Ubisoft previously revealed U.S.S. Aegis will be available to the fans of the upcoming "Star Trek: Bridge Crew." Another exciting experience awaits players as they now have the choice to serve on Star Trek: The Original Series' version of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
You can be either a solo captain or an officer in a crew of up to four players. Dual Shockers notes that the latest addition is developed in close cooperation with CBS Consumer Products. The Enterprise will be available in "Star Trek: Bridge Crew's" Ongoing Voyages mode, which introduces procedurally generated solo and co-op missions.
David Votypka, senior creative director at Red Storm Entertainment was quoted saying that the original U.S.S. Enterprise is an iconic part of the franchise. He added that the adventures and relationships that took place on the ship are a special part of Star Trek history.
Moreover, he said that they were committed to give players the opportunity to create their own adventures and stories on this classic ship, that is why they added it in the upcoming "Star Trek: Bridge Crew."
