With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Niantic has released the "Pokémon Go" Valentine's Day event. This is the game's first major celebration since the New Year. Obviously, it will be a sweeter time for players as there will be extra candy, extra pink Pokémon and lures that will reportedly last for six hours from February 8 to February 15, 2017.
Most people are said to be curious if this said event will feature the rumored Breeding feature. Unfortunately, however, reports suggest that it will not happen yet. On the other hand, one can see "Pokémon Go's" official announcement here.
"Pokémon Go" Valentine's Day event features a lot of sweet treats for the trainers. Here are some of what they are going to get.
The Candy that trainers will receive every time they catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon is expected to be doubled. More so, a trainer's Buddy Pokémon will be getting into the Valentine's Day spirit ,as well, and will be able to find Candy twice as fast.
Furthermore, the spawn rate for adorable pink Pokémon like Chansey, Clefable and more is expected to increase as well as the hatch rate for Smoochum, Cleffa and Igglybuff. Lastly, as aforementioned, Lure Modules is expected to only last for six hours for the event's entire duration, according to BITGON.
This limited-time celebration of "Pokémon Go's" Valentine's Day event will be only available from 11:00 A.M. PST on February 8, 2017 to 11:00 A.M. PST on February 15, 2017.
"Pokémon Go" is a free-to-play location-based augmented reality game. It is developed by Niantic for iOS and Android devices.
