"Overwatch" patch 1.8 has just gone live on the PTR and it's brought some pretty huge changes. Game director Jeff Kaplan has mentioned before that changes for Bastion have been long overdue. The latest update sees new buffs for the hero, including a new passive, Ironclad, and some tweaks to his Self-Repair. Meanwhile, players have discovered new menu music on the PTR that suggests the highly-anticipated hero Doomfist may be making an appearance very soon.

"Overwatch" Bastion Buffs

D.Va, Mei, Mercy, and Torbjorn have all been buffed as well, but the changes are pretty minor compared to Bastion's monster list of updates. According to PC Games N, the developer's goal is to move a part of Bastion's power "from Configuration: Sentry to [Configuration] Recon, while keeping its sentry mode a strong option."

Some notable changes to his offense include his bullet spread increased by 50 percent and now permanently at maximum. His magazine size has also increased by a full hundred points, now at 300. Unfortunately, he no longer deals critical damage. His new passive balances that out, however, as Ironclad allows Bastion to take 35 percent less damage while in Sentry or Tank configuration.

Bastion's Self-Repair option can now be used while he's on the move, and it's no longer interrupted while receiving damage. This removes the risk of him being open to lethal attacks while he's healing. You can read the full patch notes on the official "Overwatch" site here.

Menu Music Hints Doomfist's Arrival

Meanwhile, the newest find from the "Overwatch" PTR is a piece of menu music that promises big things. In the original "Overwatch" reveal cinematic, there's a part where Reaper and Widowmaker attempt to steal the Doomfist Gauntlet. According to PVP Live, the music in that particular scene has just been added as menu music.

According to Express UK, fans have also discovered a 3D model in the Numbani map where the glass around the case protecting the Doomfist Gauntlet is smashed.

This further solidifies Doomfist's eventual appearance in the game, PVP Live writes. "If not in this PTR cycle, then certainly in an approaching one." Doomfist is another highly-anticipated addition to "Overwatch," so much so that actor Terry Crews has been campaigning to be his voice.
