'Heroes of the Storm' is Blizzard's free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), and it's been garnering a steady stream of players ever since its launch in 2015. It can be argued that the game started picking up speed when it incorporated characters from their hit franchises. As of February 6, Lucio joins his fellow 'Overwatch' heroes Tracer and Zarya in the 'Heroes of the Storm' PTR.

Support Hero. Lucio is best known for his abilities to use music for both offensive and defensive combat. He also makes one heck of a support character, as his music can heal fellow team members and boost their speed. According to Video Games Republic, players can expect Lucio to have much of the same abilities in 'Heroes of the Storm.'

In the official announcement trailer shown above, we also see some clips of Lucio doing his signature wall-riding (or wall-running) technique, which has proven to be a highly-effective dodge. A lot of 'Overwatch' players have posted video clips of them using this technique to take down airborne enemy combatants or enemy players posted on high ground, which means it can be made offensive as well.

Overall, fans are excited to see how well Lucio's particular skillset will integrate in a different game with different dynamics. Lucio is slated to hit 'Heroes of the Storm' PTR today.

Upcoming Heroes: D.Va and Junkrat? While there has been no official word from Blizzard regarding future 'Overwatch' characters to be added to 'Heroes of the Storm,' we can definitely expect that it won't end with Lucio. As to who these characters are, the Christian Post cites a Reddit user that correctly predicted Lucio would be added to the roster a few months before the announcement went live. The same user predicts D.Va and Junkrat to follow suit, but only time will tell on this one.

Catch Lucio in 'Heroes of the Storm' Public Test Realm on February 6th. 'Heroes of the Storm' is now available for PC.
