It's been a busy month for Blizzard Entertainment's development team, especially with "Overwatch" Lunar New Year event going live. Aside from gorgeous new skins, a new game mode and a new event comic, the latest update also brought in some significant hero changes.

Some interesting info also came from from principal designer Geoff Goodman. Here's a round-up of the bigger pieces of news for "Overwatch" so far.

Roadhog's Hook 2.0. Roadhog is easily one of the most controversial characters with the glitch-iest weapon. But he's gone through some major balance changes to address this since the start of the month. It's been a rough ride but Roadhog's Hook 2.0 is finally here and, according to The BitBag, it's something both sides of the Roadhog Hook Debate can agree on.

The first version of Roadhog's hook was an overpowered projectile that could latch players through walls and pillars. To compensate, Blizzard nerfed him big time and the result gave Roadhog a hook that was so weak, it could easily be dodged by hiding behind literally anything.

Now, "Overwatch" 1.7 patch notes gives gamers a rundown of Roadhog's Hook 2.0 features and all seems fair now. Hooked targets are released once they are out of Roadhog's line of sight, which is now dependent on Roadhog's position rather than the hook.

This basically means ducking behind skinny pillars won't save you if Roadhog can still see the players. Read the patch notes in full via PvP Live to see more of the significant changes.

Lucio's New Hero Option. "Overwatch 1.7" has also released a new hero option for Lucio called "Allow Backwards Wall Ride." When enabled, it allows Lucio to start wall riding while moving backwards.

Players have long used Lucio's wall riding skill to combat airborne opponents or those on higher ground.. So, time will only tell how many more tactical advantages this new option offers.

Bastion Reworked? In response to a forum thread, Goodman mentioned that he was "working on some changes" for Bastion, which immediately sparked fans' interest. According to Game Spot, Bastion is one of the few "Overwatch" heroes that have gone largely untouched since the game's launch last year.

For a being supposedly so powerful, Bastion has some of the lowest winrates and playtime of any "Overwatch" character. Ergo, an update or complete revamp to the character would be good timing. Unfortunately, Goodman doesn't broach the topic further, only saying that he isn't sure when these changes could go live. What they have in store for Bastion is anyone's guess, at this point.
