Niantic has reportedly started the first event of 2017 for its most financially successful mobile game app "Pokémon GO." The event offers players a pocket monster catching experience specifically laid out for the Valentine's Day. This means that players will be several new bonuses for the "Pokémon GO" Valentine's Day event.

"Pokémon GO" players are going to catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon in the usual fashion, but this time it will give them double the amount of candy than normally. In addition, player's Pokémon will be able locate candy in half the regular time needed. "Pokémon GO" Valentine's Day event also comes with a special catching session for the Pink variety of Pokémon.

Pink ones are going to show up more frequently as reported by the developers behind the game. A number of our favorite pink Pokémon such as Chansey, Clefable, and Porygon are on the list. Moreover, sources note that hatching Pokémon eggs in "Pokemon GO" Valentine's Day event will give players baby pocket monsters such as Igglypuff, Smoochum, and Cleffa.

Other bonuses include adding in more duration to the Lure items in the "Pokémon GO" game. The luring items that usually last for 30 minutes will keep working for 6 to 12 hours giving players more ease in catching their favorite Pokémon in the Valentine's Day-themed event.
